R.I.P Paul
Published by Bonnie August 26th, 2008 in UncategorizedI lost a yoga student last week, it happens, its has happened before and I know it will happen again. But it doesn’t matter how many you loose I still miss them I still think of them from time to time and I still remember them and tell stories about them.
Paul was one of the yoga students I first started with when I started woring with disabilitys and have been teaching for about four years now. At lest with Paul I know he was well loved and will be very very missed . His parents were great with him, his house staff took on board the exercises I set for him to do at home and he was definatly well loved at his day care place, we did have to bribe him with cheeseles to get him to walk sometimes but I think most of the staff enjoyed the game.
Just how far can we get paul to walk on the promise of cheeseles?
Paul was very very prone to seasures and in fact they were always haveing to up his anti seasure medication to the point that his levels were toxic its a fine balance between stopping seasures and poisening people with anti seasure medication. I was sitting doing yoga with paul once and he stopped breathing, being a yoga teacher I notice things like that about a minuit latter he had a seasure. It was the first he had had while I was touching him but it wasn’t the last. Ever seasure he had after that while I was with him I could tell was comming, his breathing would change and I started to notice it in other clients of mine that had seasures while doing yoga with me, before they seased their breathing would change.
Paul was responsible for my growing interested in breathing patturnes and brain seasures.
I will miss him and I don’t think this is a bad thing, I still miss Grahem and Angie by the time I retire I am going to have collection of memories of some of the most amazing and inspireing people and thats never a bad thing
