Snake Valley

A little while back Chris and I took a Trip out to Snake Valley at small town 20 mins out of Ballarat where my block of land is. We planted trees one which was a cherry candle banksia and the other was a flowering gum. After planting them we made a fence out of dead branhes to stop the kangaroos eating them.

On the driveing back we passed the part of Snake Valley that was devistated by bush fires (and no snake valley is not a big place) which wasn’t even two minuits away from my block. It was actually quite lucky that it was the other side of the town that was burnt and not our side. I think, though, the fire fighters would have tried alot hard to keep the fires away from our side as there are more houses on our side.

The part the was burnt was truly beautifull it was a forest full of black trees with yellow leaves, it looked like something out of a movie and as we drove through it I could not help but be reminded that what we as humans see as a disaster mother nature sees as a part of the beautiful cycle called life

It was very pretty, when I get a chance I will put the other photos I took up on Flickr. Its a shame it had to rain, I would have liked to get some more shots in.
